Urlum Eudae Kaywell (new)

An instance of Urlum Eudae Kaywell

Arkangel 1114, known colloquially as the Urlum Effect, is the 1,114th anomaly (or "arkangel") encountered by the Arkhurukdom of Adantia and a phenomenon based primarily in the Sixth Multiverse. The anomaly primarily manifests in Universe Sequence 3482, a series of parallel universes, though possible instances of the Urlum Effect have also been identified in other nearby universes not fully associated with the sequence, but still exhibiting a number of parallels.

The phenomenon itself involves Urlum Eudae Kaywell, a member of the Tabulon species native to the moon Uingffh of the Ingffhaestian System; the tabulons, Uingffh, and Ingffhaestia exist in all universes in Sequence 3482. The anomaly manifests itself in Kaywell's actions throughout her lifespan; all instances of Urlum Eudae Kaywell are observed to consistently form, or attempt to form, regimes characterized by expansionism, xenophobia, bigotry, ultranationalism, authoritarianism, militarism, and other traits associated with the political far right, posing a danger to any nearby solar systems, galaxies, or even universes depending on her success. The most powerful instance of Arkangel 1114 was observed to conquer her entire home universe and attempt to conquer large swaths of the Sixth Multiverse.

The anomaly was not detected in the universe forming the "prime" or "base" of Sequence 3482, Universe 3482-0, ruling out the possibility of Arkangel 1114 being the non-anomalous result of universe parallelism.

Known instances[]

Universe 3482-3 ("Origin")[]

Garmageddon Sovereignty Flag

Flag of the Imperial Sovereignty of Garmageddon, the regime Universe 3482-3's Urlum Eudae Kaywell instance formed as well as the regime that serves as the archetype of a nation associated with Arkangel 1114.

Universe 3482-3, codenamed Origin, was the universe where the first documented instance of Arkangel 1114 occurred. It serves as a baseline for all other instances of the Urlum Effect and was one of the most closely studied cases of Arkangel 1114.

In this universe, Urlum Eudae Kaywell was born the Third Princess of a Uingffhian parliamentary monarchy known as the Kingdom of Kaywell. At the time, Kaywell operated under a higher authority known as the Ingffhaestian Federation, a progressive, democratic, and multicultural regime controlling all of Ingffhaestia (which, unlike other Arkangel 1114-related universes, was located in the 55 Cancri System). In 2085, Ingffhaestia and the Federation were invaded by the Holy Empire of Earth-Kalgamania, an interstellar imperialist power hailing from the planet Earth asserting the genetic superiority of its dominant species, the humans. Urlum survived, but went into hiding before orchestrating a successful rebellion against Earth-Kalgamania in 2099, executing its empress while restoring independence to Ingffhaestia.

The primary effects of the Arkangel 1114 phenomenon manifested sometime between 2102 and 2105, when Urlum was indoctrinated by the shadowy, far-right Drori Invicta cult into adopting fascist political views even more extreme than Kalgamania's. This culminated in the former rebel and social justice activist staging a violent coup against Ingffhaestia and establishing the Imperial Sovereignty of Garmageddon, a fascist dictatorship, in its place. Asserting the inherent supremacy of her tabulon species, Urlum then proceeded to conquer the entire Milky Way Galaxy, destroying countless planets, enslaving countless species, and eradicating countless minority groups in the process.

Urlum was assassinated by one of her servants, a human by the name of Jack Park, in 2199, leading to Garmageddon's fragmentation. Other events then occurred including the formation of another imperial regime known as the Intersoulversal Empire of Inogifh-Utarang B, but these are not considered relevant to the Arkangel 1114 phenomenon.

Universe 3482-5 ("Urlum the Usurper")[]

Garmageddon Flag (UtU v2)

Universe 3482-5, codenamed Urlum the Usurper, featured the second recorded instance of the Urlum Effect. Its events largely mirrored those in Universe 3482-3, but on a much smaller scale; Kalgamania only conquered its own system and Ingffhaestia, while Garmageddon only conquered 50 solar systems as opposed to the entire galaxy. Garmageddon's rivals also saw themselves downscaled, existing as stellar powers in this universe rather than galactic nations controlling entire arms. In addition, unlike Universe 3482-3's Ingffhaestia, Universe 3482-5's Ingffhaestia is located in Gliese 105, as are most Ingffhaestias in the 3482 Sequence.

The most significant deviation from Origin's chain of events was the downfall of Urlum Eudae Kaywell, which occurred in 47 years earlier in 2153 and in a drastically different fashion. A few years prior to 2153, Urlum met and adopted a teenage human male by the name of Trey Peterson, feeling sympathy for him due to his experiences reminding her of her own misfortune under the Earth-Kalgamanian Empire. Urlum and Trey forged a close bond, which culminated in Urlum realizing the horror behind her actions and regaining her past, more progressive morals. However, she realized that there existed no possible way for her to atone for her sins without dying, so she concocted a plan to stage her own assassination in order to restore peace and freedom to the stars. At Urlum's behest, Trey carried out this assassination in 2153, accomplishing the peace and tranquility Urlum desired.

Universe 3482-6 ("A Tyranny Known As Love")[]

Kingdom of Kaywell flag (ATKAL)

Universe 3482-6, codenamed A Tyranny Known As Love, featured the third recorded Arkangel 1114 instance. Compared to Universe 3482-5, Universe 3482-6 deviated significantly more from Universe 3482-3; the Uingffhian nations developed much later, and the tabulon civilization acted as the initial imperialist power rather than being provoked by another imperialist power. This tabulon nation was known as the Kingdom of Kaywell.

Universe 3482-6's instance of Urlum Eudae Kaywell was born on the same date under the same circumstances, becoming Kaywell's third princess. However, her radicalization occurred far earlier; in 2040, she discovered ruins left behind by the ancient Izlondian Civilization revealing the tabulon species' nature as the Izlondians' direct descendants, inciting her into triggering an ultranationalist movement that culminated with Kaywell's conversion into a conservative, expansionist, colonialist, theocratic, and tabulon supremacist regime.

Though Universe 3482-6's Urlum did not become the de jure leader of Kaywell upon its conversion, she still wielded considerable authority and power as the Highmost Admiral of its star navy. As a strategic and tactical advisor, Princess Urlum spearheaded Kaywell's transition into an interstellar power and the subjugation of countless other alien races; though Kaywell did not carry outright genocides against non-tabulons, it did force them into a strict caste system where tabulon masters exploited them for free labor. In addition, Kaywell proved significantly more discriminatory towards the LGBTQ+ community compared to both Garmageddons, carrying out a total of four genocides against the LGBTQ+ community including one where they framed a multitude of straight, cisgender people as LGBTQ+ in order to satisfy the public's homophobic and transphobic desires.

At the height of Kaywell's interstellar expansionism, the Kingdom itself publically controlled a total of 50 star systems, making it similar in scale to Universe 3482-5. In 2125, the human race under the Tellurian Empire attacked the Kingdom of Kaywell; though Kaywell fended them off, the Empire still succeeded in claiming the life of Fifth Princioso Hypat Ilum Kaywell, which greatly distressed Urlum and incited her to not only increase the brutality of her conquests, but also aspire to carry out a coup d'etat against the Kaywellian government and install herself as the leader of a fascist dictatorship. She succeeded in doing so in 2199, but was promptly disposed by a large-scale rebellion alongside the emergence of Arkangel 1115 ("Apollyons").

Adantia detected the fourth recorded Arkangel 1114 occurrence in Universe 3482-12, codenamed The Objective. Compared to previous Arkangel 1114-involved universes, Universe 3482-12 contains more divergences and a relatively more complex political climate; to start, Universe 3482-12's Uingffh, unlike the other Uingffh incarnations, serves as the homeworld of three sentient species: in addition to the tabulons, the anthropomorphic rabbit-like lordions and the blue crab-like mortei.

Historically, Universe 3482-12 initially closely follows the 3482-6 continuity, albeit with dates pushed somewhat back: the Kingdom of Kerolon, analogous to 3482-6's Kingdom of Kaywell, forms and embarks on a campaign of expansionism on Uingffh. It is during this first imperial era's later phases in the 16th Century that 3482-12 begins to deviate: Kerolon, unlike Kaywell, successfully completes its conquest of Uingffh by conquering the island nations of Liyres, Uveerius, and Uopia. However, the high taxation required for this victory causes Kerolon's Osuwa colony to rebel and form the Unified States of Osuwa, while discrimination against lordions in the Morbidia region causes the lordions there to secede as the Great Imperial Hegemony of Morbidia.

Osuwa, Kerolon, and Morbidia then stabilize as Uingffh's sole three nations. These three nations' characteristics mirror their counterparts in other universes; Osuwa becomes a highly capitalistic democracy, Morbidia becomes an authoritarian socialist nation, and Kerolon reforms into a Nordic-style social democracy. Unlike Universe 3482-6's Kaywell, Kerolon does not attempt to re-conquer Morbidia and Osuwa and instead opts to form peaceful relations with Osuwa and Morbidia, so all three nations go interstellar together and discover other solar systems and other alien races.

Universe 3482-12's Urlum Effect manifestation is born on March 13, 1905 as Urlum Eudae Kerolon, the third princess of the Kingdom of Kerolon, to different parents than in other universes: Ring Mesmo Kerilim Kerolon, Queen Urion Sima Kerolon, and King Novus Marune Kerolon.
