Tidalia is a City in Delaware. It’s the second largest city in the state and one of the main tourist hubs. Tidalia is located on the Delaware bay, on the edge of Kent County, between Dover and Rehoboth Beach, which might be considered part of the Tidalia metro as the city grows. The Tidalia Metro is part of the Big five on the Delmarva Peninsula and the second largest in Delaware, only behind the five million population mega city Wellington.

History:[]

Tidalia began as a small, sleepy fishing village in 1801. When the town was formed, growth has been for the 100 years after that. In 1970, Tidalia has a population of 23,000, nowhere near the magnitude it would accomplish. But in 1980, something amazing happened. The city had an economic miracle when it decided to take full advantage of its location near the Delaware Bay and start becoming focused on trade and tourism. Eventually, the population EXPLODED. By 2000, the city was at 100,000 people. By 2005, it had jumped to 890,000 and by 2010, the one millionth resident moved in. Today, Tidalia is a huge city known for it’s beach culture and sleek design and clean nature, as the city had boomed later in the 20th century.

Famous Landmarks and tourist destinations[]

Tidalia is famous for its major shopping district, St Maria, which is located near the bay. It’s similar to how Irving in Texas is known for its Las Colinas District. The city became the capital of its own state when Dover was Dethroned. The statue of Sir Thomas West, better known for his nickname: Lord Deel a War, also is located close to the city center.

Freeway Layout and Public Transit:[]

Freeway Layout:[]

Interstate 97 (Tidalia Fwy) bisects the downtown north-south. Interstate 60, the main east to west connection, also goes through the city, but terminates in the downtown. Interstate 297 serves as an inner loop of the city. There is an I-497 planned that would serve as an outer loop that is planned to be constructed in 2034. US-13 serves the west suburbs, US-48 goes into the city, and I-56 and US-9 go along the south of the metro.

Tidalia actually has one of the best public transportation networks in all of America, it has metro, bus and trams.
