Sinai, officially the Kingdom of Sinai (Arabic: Mamlaka Sinai), is a country located in the Sinai Peninsula, with the Mediterranean in the north, the Gulf of Aqaba to the east, and the Gulf of Suez to the west. The country's capital is known as Sinai City. With a population of 124.68 million, Sinai is the 12th most populous country in the world.
Following repeated tensions between Sinai and Egypt, a major war occured in 2024, following which the peninsula gained independence, alongside control over the Gaza strip following the 2028 Hamas-Israel War.
On 2028, the country's first census recorded a population of 68,995,071 people. Following which, a major explosion in population occured as massive immigrations and huge rapid construction of cities occured throughout the country. In the 2032 census, the population was 78,104,655, and in the 2036 census, the population reached 87,894,664. Population growth continued to increase, as in the 2040 census, the population reached 99,012,844. It reached a further 107,543,543 on the 2044 census. The current population, as counted by the 2048 census, is 124,689,201.
According to the World Bank, Sinai has a high-income developed market. In 2025, Sinai transformed into a liberalized free-trade economy, subsequently resulting in the country being one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Having a growth rate of 20.105%, Sinai is the world's fourth largest by economy growth. The growth was spurred by tourism, construction, clean energy, and the movement of industries from mainly fertilizer to mainly explosives and weaponry, although the kingdom is still a significant player in the world’s armoury, ammunition, and fertilizer. Gold, oil, salt, and freshwater exports are also significant. the country ranks 67th in the HDI index, standing at 0.800.

Sinai is composed of 3 governorates (muhafaza), which are the first-level administrative divisions. Governorates are then divided into 14 provinces (muqatia), which are then further divided into districts (muntaqah). Districts are then further divided into cities (madinah), or municipalities (baladiah), which are finally divided into areas (munatiqah).
