Marly Island

Marly Island was built in the 21st Century in an attempt to solve the global housing crisis that faced the world. At this point, Marly Island is home to 90 million residents living in 15 districts across the city.

Location

The fictional city of Marly Island is located in the Atlantic Ocean between the west coast of Portugal and Madeira, the area of the city is roughly 4 times the size of New York (including Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx)

Transit

Each of the 15 districts in the city has a central station with railway links to other areas, either their central station or outer stations. Each of these termini has at least 15 platforms and will constantly have services arriving and departing. Underneath the city, there are many metro lines operating to all corners of the city. These will typically be a mix of under and over the ground. These metro lines are state of the art to allow all citizens to traverse the city, most districts are virtually car-free due to the plethora of public transportation.

Bus networks also cover the city in a vast web, operations are carried out by a mix of British and American bus types.
