The December 2024 HHW presidential election was held from December 16, 2024 to a week later on December 23, 2024, to elect the next president of HHW. A ceremonial election, it was the third HHW presidential election. Incumbent president Alex initially ran for re-election to a third term, albeit the second under the system implemented starting with the August 2024 election, in which Alex won over 75% of the popular vote. However, Alex dropped out after the Based Party performed poorly in early opinion polling, and was later removed from office after being banned shortly after. Thus, vice president Oil became president for the remainder of Alex's term, and is seeking a full term as the nominee of the Palm Tree Conspiracy Alliance. Cane was chosen to replace Alex as the Based nominee, however dropped out on December 13 and joined Oil's ticket as his running mate, marking the formal dissolution of the Based Party.
Opinion polling consistenly shown HHW senator Blackford, the nominee of the Great Patriotic Tole Tole as the clear favorite to win the election, with a poll conducted in late November showing Blackford leading then-president Alex by just shy of 50 points. The final pre-election poll, conducted on December 13-15, showed Blackford leading second-place challengers AC and Mark by 52 points, while incumbent president Oil fell into a distant third place with only 4% in the last pre-election poll. In the first round, Oil and Blackford scored 3.13 and 4.38 points respectively and advanced to a runoff, while AC and Mark were eliminated from contention. Blackford ultimately won the second round in a landslide, receiving 73.7% of the vote to Oil's 26.3%.
